Reclaiming heritage : French freestyle snowboard team partners with Quiksilver

For the major winter sporting event of 2026, the French Freestyle Snowboard Team and Quiksilver have aligned to create a powerful new identity. More than just a kit, the recently unveiled uniform represents a bonded team, blending boardsport heritage with the uncompromising demands of elite competition.

There is often a disconnect between the style a rider asserts on the slopes daily and the uniform they wear once selected for the national squad—a gap long seen as inevitable. However, this February 2026, the air in the Italian Alps has a different vibe for the French camp. By unveiling the official French Freestyle Snowboard Team equipment, Quiksilver has finally bridged the gap between performance and identity. The ranks are tight, the style is bold, and the message is clear: putting performance and flair back at the heart of the game.

Technical precision meets responsibility

Far from the stiff, formal uniforms often seen at opening ceremonies, this kit has been engineered for pure action. The silhouette relies on a precise three-piece setup: the Radicalo jacket, the Snow Down cargo trousers, and the Paramo stretch bibs. The jacket features a “boxy fit” with dropped shoulders. This isn’t just an aesthetic detail to look cool in photos: it is exactly what modern snowboard and freestyle ski disciplines demand to free up movement and style during rotations.

Regarding specs, the brand with the “Mountain and Wave” logo is taking no unnecessary risks with the changeable Alpine conditions. The kit features their proprietary DryFlight® 20K technology. for the uninitiated, this is the winning combo of extreme waterproofing (for storm days) and optimal breathability (to avoid the “sauna effect” after a slopestyle run). The entire kit is designed with a modern eco-conscious mindset: 76% recycled polyester fibres from textile and plastic waste, and a guaranteed PFAS-free durable water repellent treatment. It’s clean, it’s dry, and it respects the playground.

Validated by the next gen : Sivignon & Allemand

The brand didn’t dictate its vision from a boardroom. The approach was pragmatic: the kit was co-constructed with those who will actually wear it. At the heart of this development is Timothé Sivignon. At just 22 years old, this ski slopestyle and big air specialist isn’t just there to make up the numbers: he is one of the country’s most promising talents.

Tim describes his involvement: “Collaborating on this athlete kit with Quiksilver has been an incredible experience: the brand has always valued its riders’ input.” The result? Equipment that doesn’t force the rider to compromise. “Freestyle skiing and snowboarding have specific needs, and we managed to create an outfit […] that is technical, comfortable, and stylish all at once—it’s exactly the ideal balance we aim to achieve,” Tim explains.

He won’t be the only one flying this flag. He forms a formidable duo with his teammate Romain Allemand, who is also ready to battle it out at the season’s biggest sporting event. This pair perfectly embodies this new era: young, technical, and uncompromising when it comes to style.

Core Heritage

Seeing Quiksilver—a brand founded in 1969 and a pillar of boardsport culture—outfitting the national team just makes sense. It validates the DNA of freestyle snowboarding, which has always oscillated between high-level sport and underground culture. The blue, white, and red are present, but integrated into an aesthetic that respects the visual codes of the discipline.

The dates are set from February 6th to 22nd, 2026. The style is validated, the tech is secured: the French squad arrives in Italy with the best weapons to make their mark on the powder.

EDITOR’S VERDICT

This is a reassuring collaboration. When talking about freestyle ski or snow, clothing is an integral part of the rider’s performance and identity. By handing the keys to a heritage player in the scene rather than a generalist sports manufacturer, the French Freestyle Snowboard Team ensures they arrive in Italy with instant visual credibility. Tim and Romain have the gear to shine; the rest will be decided in the air.
